Based on the story of Voice of Deptford the book charts the impact of the global market on local communities including Deptford. The book explains how Labour Lewisham gave the go-ahead to the development on Convoys Wharf – with minimal social housing – ignoring the priorities of local people.

In the pocket of corporate developers Labour Councils across London are now enabled by national government to capitulate further to corporate greed – with caps for building of so-called “affordable” (un-affordable) housing now lowered.
